During 2012 1.3 billion devices with touch screen were sold in the world. They were mostly smart phones and tablets. The research agency IHS, which has carried out the survey, thinks anyway that the new technology is extending to various other electronic products, such as digital photo-cameras, car navigation systems, portable DVD players, video cameras, portable games and obviously portable PC. This widening is determining a boom in the consumptions of touch screens. Already at the end of 2013 the sales in the world are expected to reach 1.8 billion pieces, with the 38% growth compared to 2012. In 2016 2.8 million pieces will be probably reached.
