According to the data published by HKTDC-Hong Kong Trade Development Council Research, Hong Kong’s total exports of household electrical appliances decreased 7% in 2013 compared to 2012 (from 21,651 million HK$ to 20,179 million HK$). Although exports of household lighting products, the major items, continued to expand, exports of thermic domestic appliances and hair dressing/hand drying apparatus declined in 2013. The US, EU and Japan were the largest export markets, together constituting about two-thirds of Hong Kong’s total exports of household electrical appliances.
