piano cotturaStarting from February 20th, 2015 eco-design requirements will be applied to electric, gas or mixed hobs. As reported by GIFAM (French association of manufacturers of household appliances), the hobs will have to satisfy the thresholds for energy consumption and energy efficiency according to standard methods of measurement. In particular, the instructions for use of the appliances and the product sheets published on the websites of the manufacturers should contain recommendations to reduce the environmental impact of the cooking processes and precise information about product characteristics (for example, type of technology, efficiency energy per burner, electricity consumption per cooking zone etc.).
Starting from January 1st, 2015 the new energy label with the classes A+, A++ and A+++ will become mandatory for ovens. From this date, the energy label will become mandatory also for the gas ovens. Besides, starting from January 1st, 2015 will come into force the energy label for hoods, with seven classes from A to G.
With the beginning of 2015, finally, coffee machines must have automatic systems for limiting the duration of keeping warm or the duration of activation of the heating element, once the coffee is obtained, in order to reduce the consumption of energy.
