The current year began well for white goods in Spain. Data published by Anfel (Spanish association of manufacturers and importers of household appliances) about sales in January show that cumulative turnover increased by 16.13% compared to January 2014. Sales in units grew by 15.24% in the first month of 2015 compared to the same period in 2014, registering +66,480 units. Refrigerators increased by 27.15% in units, with particularly positive performances for 1-door appliances (+40.63%) and double-door appliances (+36.48%). As regards to the washing segment, top loading washing machines reached a growth of +35.79% and front loading washing machines +15.24%. Besides, dishwashers increased by 15.45% compared to January 2014. Kitchens saw a negative trend, with a fall of 28.06%, while hobs achieved a growth of about 9% and ovens about 8%. Finally, hoods increased by 17.84%.
