Panasonic unveiled its Countertop Induction Oven (CIO) at the International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago. The product combines proprietary induction and double-infrared heating technologies. It quickly grills, bakes, toasts, and re-heats and requires little or no preheating, resulting in perfectly cooked meals. The secret is the combination of direct induction heat and a sealed, compact interior. Flavored, circulating steam enhances taste. The dishwasher-safe grill reduces excessive moisture and oil while producing BBQ-quality sear and sizzle. “Our new, one-of-a-kind Countertop Induction Oven will change the landscape of the consumer’s kitchen – said Lisa Knierim, Vice President of Panasonic Home Division -.The CIO is an example of innovation at its best.
