Innovative solutions for food preservation

ka_vertigoThe new KitchenAid solutions for food preservation include a system composed by the vaccum machine and refrigerators and wine cellars of the Vertigo line. Thanks to the Bag Cycle function, the vacuum machine removes the air to create the optimal vacuum. The residual pressure inside the bag – just 5 mbar compared to 350-500 mbar of the traditional machines – allows the food to be preserved longer than the traditional conservation in the refrigerator. When the machine has created the vacuum, the bag is sealed with a hermetic closure. Then the food can be cooked in a steam oven or put in the refrigerator or freezer. The Vertigo refrigerators have numerous innovative technologies. Thanks to the Even Airflow System, the cool air is distributed evenly and each zone can have an independent ventilation, creating the ideal environment for the conservation. In addition, the Vertigo refrigerators feature the Dynamic 0° area, a double drawer that preserves fresh and delicate products: the consumer can choose the temperature of the drawers (from -2 to +2°C) and the humidity level of the compartment is automatically adjusted. Point of strength of the Vertigo refrigerators is the Multi-Temperature Drawer, a large multifunctional drawer that can be regulated as needed: it can be programmed to operate as a refrigerator, freezer or Dynamic 0° area. Finally, among the advantages of the Vertigo wine cellars there are the two zones at different temperatures, the ventilation system with carbon filters to adjust the humidity, the shaded glass door to protect the bottles from the light and an anti-vibration system.
