The Intel group, that has for years been the undisputed leader of the world of semiconductors, now is endangered by Samsung’s brilliant growth. The news arrives from the IHS Markit’s research agency’s findings. In the first half of 2017, the South Korean group recorded a 12.4% increase in sales, reaching a market share of 14.2% versus 14.3% of Intel. The three major competitors, SK Hynix, Micron Technology, Broadcom Limited, which have 5.6% respectively. 5.3% and 4.1%, are very disconnected from the the first places.
