Daikin Europe, through its subsidiary Zanotti, has signed an agreement for the acquisition of the Spanish Tewis Smart Systems. The company designs and manufacturers refrigeration systems: thanks to the wide experience gained in the creation of customized control instruments (including monitoring activities), Tewis is able to offer the market complete solutions for refrigeration and air conditioning. In recent years Tewis has developed a range of CO2 refrigeration systems, creating strong relationships with important Spanish and Portuguese companies in the food sector. With this acquisition, Daikin strengthens its position in the refrigeration market. Tewis products using CO2 as refrigerant complete the current Daikin/Zanotti range based on refrigerants such as R-410A and R-134a: in the commercial refrigeration sector it is very important to offer different solutions to meet extremely different requirements for power, temperature and security.
