On the other hand, there is an unprecedented convergence and integration among the company functions, also to meet the challenge of the product customization; it’s here roles such as the Innovation Manager or highly specialized figures, external to the company, can support to develop skills by redesigning the processes in a transversal perspective, from Supply Chain to Marketing, Operations and Product Development. Is is an effort that in the Country system is more pronounced today in the areas with the strongest manufacturing tradition, but which can represent an important development driver for Italy and the more recent districts that are emerging”.
The main required middle roles include not only IoT Developer and System Architect Manager who work with Automation Manager, PLC Technical Programmers and Project Manager MES, but also Digital Supply Chain Manager, Digital Product Marketing Manager, E-Commerce Manager and Data Analysis Manager. The basic requirements for the roles related to the plant engineering are the Engineering degree (with specialization in electronics, information technology, chemistry), an experience of at least 5 years in highly automated manufacturing contexts, the possession of excellent skills in Project Management and communication, and a propensity for innovation and continuous change. With regard to R&D and Design roles, a Electronic or Computer Engeneering degree is required and an experience of at least 4/5 years in contexts related to the development of technologically advanced machines or devices.
