 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, new orders for manufactured durable goods in December 2014 decreased 8.1 billion dollar or -3.4 percent to 230.5 billion dollar compared to November 2014. In the same period, shipments of manufactured durable goods increased 2.6 billion dollar or +1.1 percent to 246.8 billion dollar. Considering the annual results (not seasonally adjusted data), new orders in 2014 increased by 6.2% compared to 2013, while shipments registered +5%. As regards to electrical appliances and components, shipments registered a growth of 1.7% in 2014 compared to 2013, totaling 125,217 million dollar. Besides, new orders increased by 3.2% last year compared to 2013 (128,324 million dollar versus 124,385 million dollar).
