Flexible heating elements are components that, in the appliance sector, have important application characteristics and technological performance. This thanks to the use of materials such as silicone, polyester and polyamide–Kapton. They are easily customisable to allow them to adapt to any surface and design shape. But they also possess the advantages of flexibility and configuration according to requirements or standard dimensions. They have extremely reduced thicknesses and uniform thermal distribution. Besides, they can have different specific powers on the same element. And they are easy to assemble and apply through the adhesive layer. It is possible to equip the elements with thermal adjustments (thermostats, protectors, PT100, J/K probes and others). They reduce thermal dispersion. They have design voltages from 1V to 400V. And they have the possibility of dual 115-230V power supply for the same heating element.
This is the field of specialisation of Heatfor. It is a company founded in 2010 with the main objective of manufacturing flexible heating elements for industry. On the strength of the thirty years’ experience acquired in the heating element sector by its founding partners, it has the necessary know-how to meet the specific requirements, up to the most demanding product customisation.
Silicone for metal
In the Heatfor range, flexible silicone heating elements are specially designed for heating metal surfaces. The thermal homogeneity developed on the surface of the heating element makes it possible to avoid abnormal expansion phenomena and heat unevenness in the equipment, managing all its power with maximum efficiency.
Besides, the silicone insulation ensures maximum performance up to temperatures of 200°C. The adhesive film with high adhesion to steel and plastics favours ease of application and excellent heat exchange. Application is also possible through direct vulcanisation onto the metal material, while the possibility of customised elements allows adaptation to a multitude of technical solutions.
Thermal homogeneity with polyester
Elements made of polyester film are designed for heating plastic and metal surfaces. The thermal homogeneity developed over the entire surface of the heating element makes it possible to avoid abnormal expansion phenomena and insufficient thermal uniformity in the equipment, managing all its power with maximum effectiveness.
In addition, the polyester insulation guarantees performance up to temperatures of 120°C. The adhesive film with a high degree of adhesion to steel and plastic surfaces favours extreme ease of assembly and optimal heat exchange. Besides, the possibility of tailor-made elements allows the flexible elements to be adapted to a multitude of technical and application solutions.
Kapton ultra-thin heaters
Ultra-thin Kapton heaters with thicknesses of 0.10÷0.15 millimetres designed for heating metal and plastic surfaces have a thermal homogeneity developed over the area of the heating element that avoids abnormal expansion phenomena and heat unevenness in the equipment, managing all the power delivered with maximum efficiency.
The construction of the component with Kapton insulation guarantees maximum performance up to temperatures of 260°C. Besides, the adhesive film with a high peeling coefficient on metals and plastics makes it extremely easy to apply and ensures excellent heat exchange with the adhering surface.
