LG Electronics renews its commitment to environmental sustainability, emphasizing the crucial role of energy efficiency in the development of the latest generation of home appliances
In a global context in which the reduction of consumption and emissions is increasingly urgent, LG remains at the forefront of developing technological solutions that combine high performance and reduced environmental impact.
With the introduction of the new European energy labels, effective from 2021 and recently updated, consumers can now more easily navigate their way through the choice of efficient products. As of March 2021, in fact, household appliances have energy labels that include classes from G to A distinguished by 7 different colors (from red, indicating the lowest class, to dark green for the highest) to make them easier to read. All devices are currently approved in base to specific European criteria, which include more precise systems for tracking energy consumption as well as providing more accurate values on the energy performance of products. An additional new feature of the energy label is the introduction of the QR-Code, which links to more detailed information on individual models from the official database of registered and classified products, which contains the product information sheet, technical documentation and compliance monitoring for total transparency to consumers.
Efficient home appliances with a performance beyond Class A
The energy label is not only an indicator of consumption, but a tool of environmental conscience, and it is therefore essential that consumers know how to orient themselves toward conscious consumption choices when it comes to major investments co-meaning household appliances. Against this regulatory backdrop, LG has been able to respond to the ongoing evolution by bringing to the market home appliances that rank at the top of the new energy classes or, even, exceed the minimum standards of Class A, offering high performance and low consumption.
Among the most innovative and high-performing products in this regard is the recently introduced built-in dishwasher QuadWash™ A-20% which – thanks to the innovative Inverter Direct Drive technology-has 20% higher efficiency than the Class A standard, making a significant contribution to lowering household consumption but also protecting the environment. The same energy class is also achieved by the combined refrigerator model GBB92MBB3P. LG has also brought significant improvements to the world of washing, one example above all is the AI DD™ R9 Series washing machine (mod. F4R9009TPWC), which guarantees 40% lower consumption than the minimum Class A standard.
