Liebherr has recently expanded its offer of refrigerators with new built-in and freestanding products. In detail, ICBa 5123 is a built-in combi model designed to guarantee a very high level of energy efficiency. The appliance in fact reaches the class A. Another new proposal is the range of FrenchDoor combined refrigerators. These products won the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award. They are available in three series (Pure, Plus, and Prime) and in different versions (with two freezer drawers or four doors).
SoftSystem closure and BioFresh drawers in the ICBa 5123 refrigerator
Liebherr ICBa 5123 is equipped with a range of technologies that allow food to be kept fresh for longer. These include the SoftSystem mechanism. It not only ensures that the appliance door closes gently and quietly, but also closes automatically. In fact, once the door is opened beyond a certain angle, it closes by itself, saving energy.
Energy savings and reduced food waste are also the result of the technologies used in the BioFresh drawers. They create ideal humidity levels and temperatures for better storage (and in a larger space) of fresh food such as fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, and cheese. This preserves the nutritional properties and vitamins of each food. Furthermore, SmartFrost technology is designed to reduce ice formation and simplify defrosting in the freezer.
Liebherr ICBa 5123 is also a smart appliance. Thanks to SmartDevice, users can control the combined refrigerator via an app directly from smartphone or tablet. This allows consumers to manage functions and receive notifications that alert them in the event of a power outage or if the doors have been accidentally left open, for example.

Technologies and finishes of the new FrenchDoor refrigerators
Among the technologies featured in Liebherr’s new FrenchDoor refrigerators, the Water & Ice Center stands out, providing cold water, ice cubes, and crushed ice 24 hours a day. Besides, the BioFresh Professional compartment, with HydroBreeze technology, keeps even the most delicate foods fresh for a long time.
In terms of comfort and energy efficiency, the patented FlexDoorSystem ensures that the doors open smoothly and quietly. In addition, the hermetic seal helps to prevent energy waste. The new refrigerators also offer flexibility. The VarioTempZone can be set precisely between -18 and -10 °C and between -2 and +5 °C.
Finally, these products stand out for their finishes. TerraSteel, BlackSteel, and SmartSteel complement natural-style furnishings, while MoodLight is characterized by the concept of indirect lighting that aesthetically highlights the Water & Ice Center and the handles of the freezer drawers.
