LG Electronics provides HVAC professionals with a software suite for designing and simulating air conditioning and heating systems. It is called LATS (LG Air Conditioning Technical Solutions) and is a tool designed to reduce the time and complexity of system design. “Thanks to the LATS platform – says the company – it is possible to configure and optimize systems simply and accurately, adapting them to the real needs of the building and reducing time and errors. Different solutions to meet specific needs
In Italy, LG offers professionals various solutions from the LATS platform, designed to meet specific needs and support every stage of the work. “This software – explains LG Electronics – is available in a convenient desktop version, which can be downloaded and installed on your computer to ensure stable performance, full compatibility with local regulations, and the reliability needed to manage complex residential, commercial, and industrial projects”.
Specifically, LATS HVAC is designed for the complete design of air conditioning systems, from model selection to verification of correct sizing. LATS THERMA V, on the other hand, is dedicated to air-water heat pump systems and allows energy simulations and economic analyses of return on investment to be carried out.
Another offering is LATS Chiller ISC, designed for the selection and optimization of Inverter Scroll chiller systems, with support for partial loads and seasonal efficiency. In addition, as regards to LATS CAD, it is integrable with AutoCAD and allows user to generate automatic schemes and layouts thanks to LG component libraries and immediate validation functions. Finally, LATS Revit, a plug-in compatible with Autodesk Revit, is ideal for BIM design of VRF systems, with automatic 3D modeling functions for pipes and components.
CFD Analysis, on-demand service
In addition to the above tools, LG Electronics also offers partners and designers an on-demand service: CFD Analysis. This is an advanced fluid-dynamics simulation tool that analyzes air and temperature distribution to validate comfort and ventilation.
