The main products manufactured by Ilmec are engine shafts and electric micromotors mainly aimed at the electrical appliances and automotive sectors, as well as a wide range of small parts for the pneumatic, oleodynamics, electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic and mechanical sectors in general. The company has a full fleet of CNC machines capable of producing small metal parts from 3 to 51 mm in different geometric shapes. The production department is composed of automatic sliding head and fixed head lathes, in addition to multi-spindle and transfer machines. Besides, the grinding processes are performed using semi-automatic centreless and plunge-cut grinding machines. “Depending on the materials used – the company says – we can guarantee the following tolerances: roughness Ra 0.07/0.20 μm, roundness 0.5 μ min., diameter tolerance +/-1 μm, camber between microns and hundredths depending on the length of the part. We can perform additional lapping and vibrofinishing operations on the parts”. Finally, Ilmec has a hardening plant with tempering for the 400 series stainless steels and an efficient closed circuit solvent washing machine that is able to ensure the complete elimination of machining residues.
