Akın Garzanlı is the new CEO of Beko Europe

Beko Europe has announced a new appointment at the top of the company. Akın Garzanlı has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Beko Europe and Chief Commercial Officer for the Europe region. At the same time, Ragıp Balcıoğlu, who has been at the helm of Beko Europe since its establishment in April 2024, has taken on the role of Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at Beko.

The skills gained as Chief Marketing Officer

Akın Garzanlı has been with Beko for over 20 years and has held the position of Chief Marketing Officer since 2022. He has led over 22 global and local brands in more than 55 countries, with a team spread across a wide geographical area. In this position, he contributed to the growth of the brand through the management of global activities in marketing and communication, industrial design, product management and small appliances. He also oversaw key areas such as market analysis and insights, content excellence, growth and marketing transformation. Since 2023, he has expanded his responsibilities to oversee the Middle East, Africa, and CIS regions.

Various roles at Beko

Since joining Beko in 2002, Akın Garzanlı has gained 20 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in sales, product management, marketing, and customer service. In 2018, the company appointed him Global Customer Care Director and in 2020 Global Brand Director, before taking on the role of Chief Marketing Officer in 2022.

His field experience has also benefited from extensive theoretical training. After graduating from St. George’s Austrian High School, Garzanlı earned a degree in Management from Istanbul University. Then he earned an MBA from Koç University and completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and the Kellogg School of Management.

Experience in managing multi-brand portfolios

As highlighted by the company, Akın Garzanlı has been able to transform consumer insights into concrete results throughout his professional career. He has thus made a significant contribution to the evolution of Beko’s global marketing.

The new CEO of Beko Europe takes office at a particularly complex time for the sector.
