New Ermes Europe has developed a special kit to easily remove pet hair and fibers from various surfaces. In fact, dog and cat owners know how difficult it is to remove the hair from floors, sofas, or clothes. Traditional tools are often ineffective. The idea for the Pet & Home Kit came from an experience of this kind. «I have a Golden Retriever – explains Riccardo Roschi, attorney partner at New Ermes Europe – and I realized that the tools on the market did not meet my expectations in three fundamental aspects: the first was the removal of hair from the animal. So I tested the main nozzles on the market and tried to optimize a version that we then developed in-house with our R&D team.
The second aspect concerned the management of the hair once it had been removed from the animal. With manual nozzles, the removed hair was deposited everywhere within a radius of at least 5 meters, while a version specifically designed to be connected to a vacuum cleaner or a stick-cleaner could completely solve the problem.
The third key aspect was the possibility of using the Pet kit with different types of vacuum cleaners and stick-cleaners. I checked that there were products on the market mainly from China. However, they offered inefficient hair removal. And were sold in kit with a vacuum cleaner that filled up completely after five passes and became unusable. Furthermore, the nozzles were not ergonomically designed to ensure good maneuverability that would not disturb the animal (which could obviously be large, medium, or small). This factor had not been taken into consideration at all. Finally, it was necessary to develop a product that was easy to disassemble and clean after each use. Putting all these elements together, the Pet & Home Kit was born».
NEPG18 Pet Grooming tool
Going into detail about the various parts that make up the kit, the mod. NEPG18 Pet Grooming tool (with patented design) is realized to brush dogs, cats, as well as any other animal with shedding, vacuuming up superfluous/dead hair. The solution includes a tool with a disassembling body in PP and three interchangeable combs for different types of hair. Besides, connecting the tool to the various types of vacuum cleaners and stick-cleaners is simple thanks to the 32 mm-35 mm diameter adaptor, the 1.5-meter flexible hose, and the universal flexible adaptor.
And once the animal has been brushed, user has simply to press the button on the tool to remove the hair. The comb moves towards the tool body, releasing the hair, which is immediately vacuumed up, preventing it from spreading into the surrounding environment.
NE05-PETS and NE13-PETS nozzles
Other items included in the Pet & Home Kit are the NE05-PETS and NE13-PETS nozzles. In particular, the first (patented) is a combined nozzle for stick-cleaners and canisters. It is suitable for use on carpets and all types of hard floors. It is 270 mm wide and consists of: PP body, double swivel neck, frontal brush strip actioned by a pedal, brush support and base plate in PP. Besides, the nozzle is equipped with self-adhesive pickers to collect hair and 2 rear low-noise wheels. The joint diameter can be 30, 32, 35, or 36 mm (other diameters are optional). The cover and pedal design can be customized.
As for the NE13-PETS, this model (also patented) is a self-cleaning brush for upright and canister vacuum cleaners. It is ideal for stairs, furniture, carpets, cars, etc. It can also be used on clothes without connecting it to a vacuum cleaner. And another strong point of the product is that the cover can be opened for inspection and cleaning. The brush has an ABS body and is equipped with red cloth for collecting fibers and animal hair.
NEPU18 Pet Upholstery tool
Finally, the mod. NEPU18 Pet Upholstery tool is an easy-to-use accessory that can be connected to vacuum cleaners, stick-cleaners, uprights and central vac-cleaners. It allows user to easily remove generic fibers and animal hair from carpets, sofas, car interiors, and all types of fabric. The product features a tool body in PP, ABS tilting base, and red adhesive pickers. The standard diameter is 35 mm (32 mm with adaptor).
