Garnet has been operating on the Italian and international markets since 1997, exclusively representing major manufacturers of components for the automation, robotics, automotive and home appliances sectors. The company offers technologically advanced solutions to improve the productivity of machines and plants and to optimise energy efficiency.

Expertise in electric motors
Garnet specialises in electric motors ranging from micro to medium size, mainly permanent magnet or brushless synchronous, but also DC and stepper motors. The production of the components that the company distributes in Italy and abroad takes place mainly in Japan. In addition to acting as a technical and commercial reference point for end customers, Garnet also provides after–sales support for the commissioning of certain types of machinery. In some cases, such as stepper motors, it also provides customer training.
The home appliances sector
In this sector, Garnet operates mainly in the field of renewable energy and biomass heating: it supplies components for manufacturers of pellet or biomass stoves. In brief, for those appliances that are becoming more and more attractive for domestic heating due to both cost and energy savings and environmental impact. For this market, the company develops geared motors and fans for both flue gas extraction and hot air generation. It also supplies customised wiring, for example the cables inside the displays and control units in new generation stoves. The same type of components is used in household appliances for industrial use, such as bar machines that make slushies or ice cream. «These types of components could also be suitable for small household appliances, just as the ventilation system of the pellet stove could be used for refrigerated counters or refrigerating machines», explains Leo Iurino, sole director of Garnet.
Assembly: a real benefit
In its other areas of expertise, particularly in the supply of magnets, Garnet also takes care of assembly, which it considers a real benefit. In addition to components, the company can offer finished or semi-finished products. For example, in the field of domestic air–conditioning solutions, both for cooling and heating: some producers build the electric motor of heat pump air-conditioners using assemblies supplied by Garnet. Again, for heat pump air conditioners, whether large systems or even individual splits, Garnet also supplies the electronic components of the board that controls the motor: in detail, the company sells the power semiconductor contained within the board.
A tailor-made service that marks the difference
«The company distinguishes itself from its competitors by its ability to offer a tailor-made service», continues Leo Iurino, «ranging from feasibility analysis to the assembly of a semi-finished product. But our key feature is also the attention we pay to the customer’s needs: from the initial analysis to project optimisation up to assistance for sampling, pre–series, i.e. until the machine is running at full capacity. We often follow projects from scratch, dealing with different applications».
The importance of training
Training, at both technical and commercial level, is of primary importance at Garnet. «We have recently established», says Leo Iurino, «a training plan for executives, clerks, commercial back office workers, but also for those who work in purchasing, in the warehouse, and for workers in the wiring section. The training covers technical aspects, such as the use of software, but it concerns also sales training and even leadership courses».
