According to data published by ISTAT (Italian Institute of Statistics), the industrial production of durable goods in Italy increased by 0.7% in January 2015 compared to January 2014. Considering the different sectors, the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, medical equipment, measuring equipment and watches recorded an increase of 4.3% in January of this year compared to the same period of 2014, while the production of electrical equipment and non-electrical household equipment saw a decline of 4.3% (industrial production calendar adjusted). Observing instead the seasonally adjusted data for the quarter November 2014-January 2015 compared to August-October 2014, the category of electronics shows an increase of 0.9%, while the sector of electrical equipment grew by 2.7%.
