U.S. Census Bureau’s data on durable goods in United States

As reported by U.S. Census Bureau, considering seasonally adjusted data, new orders of durable goods in March reached 234,839 million dollars, +2,6% compared to February 2014. Shipments reached 236,576 million dollars, +1,1% compared to the second month of the year. Considering not seasonally adjusted data, new orders in March were equal to 252,184 million dollars (231,803 million dollars in March 2013) and shipments were 251,890 million dollars (242,586 million dollars in March 2013). In regard to the category “electrical equipment, appliances and components”, considering the seasonally adjusted data, new orders increased by +3,5% from 10,201 million dollars in February 2014 to 10,555 million dollars in March 2014. Shipments grew by 1% from 10,153 million dollars to 10,255 million dollars. Besides, analysing the not seasonally adjusted data, new orders in March were equal to 11,150 million dollars, increasing compared to 10,879 million dollars of March 2013. Shipments were equal to 10,911 million dollars, while in March 2013 were 10,889 million dollars.
