 The Taiwanese Group TSMC, main world supplier for electronic components, asked its Government the permission to set up in Nanjing, in China, a new factory for the production of advanced semiconductors. The plant is expected to cost 3 billion Dollars and to start operating in 2018. The initiative constitutes a further step forward towards the normalization of the relationships between Taiwan and the Chinese motherland.
