Low costs and impeccable product quality with big volumes. The solution recently developed by OCSA, mould maker and specialized in injection moulding, has allowed implementing a connector for the motors regulating vehicle seats, which can be interesting for all producers of household appliance connectors, too.
The component to be manufactured is a metal-plastic compound with two copper contacts of different shape integrated, by overmoulding, into a 3.5 grams PA 6.6 GF30 body. In a single process, are carried out the shearing and the bending of metal contacts, the overmoulding of the component and the control on all manufactured parts. The production unit includes the shearing and bending of two different metal components, and the injection moulding of the plastic body. The used press is Engel insert V 200/45 XS without columns, with closing force of 45 tons, equipped with servo drive Engel ecodrive that allows reducing consumptions up to 70%.
