The Ecoped, ecoR’it, ERP Italy, Remedia and Ridomus consortia have jointly presented the Raee (Weee) Coupon project to encourage the collection of small Weee. The initiative involves e-commerce operators and a number of technical assistance centers belonging to the network of some appliance manufacturers: De’Longhi Group, Groupe Seb, Olimpia Splendid and Tenacta Group. As established by the project, consumers who purchase online a small appliance will have the opportunity to bring a similar Weee free of charge at one of the technical assistance centers participating in the initiative, identifying the nearest center on the dedicated website (http://raeecoupon.it/) or on the Raee Coupon App. The project is created to provide all users (consumers, online vendors and technical assistance centers) a user-friendly system, maximizing the benefits and simplifying the Weee management process. To encourage the consumers, in some cases the end user not only can deliver the Weee but he can also get a coupon to spend at the technical assistance center for possible purchases.
