Anfel (Spanish association of manufacturers and importers of household appliances) shows that Spanish white goods market registered a growth in turnover of 5.33% in the first six months of 2016 compared to the same period of 2015. Sales in units increased by +4.44%, or +138,443 pieces. Observing the market evolution in units, refrigerators achieved a growth of +1.92% (respectively +25.96% side-by-side, +6.27% 1-door models, +2.28% combined models 
and -4.25% double door refrigerators). Freezers had an opposite trend in the first half of the year: vertical appliances grew by 7.01%, while horizontal products registered a fall of 7.36%. Similar situation characterized the washing machine segment. Front loading models reached an increase of +6.24% and the top loading washing machines had a decline of 8.92%. Overall, the segment achieved a growth of +5.07%. Dryers and dishwashers also obtained positive results, +5.13% and +6.84% respectively. As regards to the cooking sector, only cookers registered a negative performance (-18.77%). Ovens grew by 7.96%, followed by hoods (+5.56%) and hobs (+4.32%). This category includes vitroceramic models (+4.52%), induction models (+0.65%) and the remaining hobs (+10.98%).
