In 2016, according to official data, the production of big appliances grew by 6.5% in Turkey, rising from the previous 24.6 million units to 26.2 millions. Two thirds of them, i.e. 17.5 millions, were exported. 1.5 million exported appliances were added to the remaining 8.7, with an apparent domestic consumption of 10.2 million units. Main destinations of the Turkish export were Great Britain (15.3%), France (11.2%), Germany (10.6%), Italy (6.5%) and Spain (6.2%). The import mostly comes instead from China (38.4%) and from Germany (11.8%).
