Fluid-dynamics and internet for a perfect cooking

A partnership for a perfect oven: this is the spirit inspiring the collaboration between Bompani and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The target is in fact transferring the competences in the fluid-dynamics design to the ovens of domestic stoves, to improve cooking performances and results. Not only theory, obviously: company and researchers will work together to develop a brand-new highly performing oven line; here, the use of advanced ICT and wireless technologies and of thermal-fluid-dynamic studies will match Bompani technicians’ design experience to obtain new unique products. The key concept is the technological transfer, because the thermal-fluid-dynamics CAE design, directly derived from automotive and aerospace sectors, can express a great potential in the Italian manufacturing industry. It is also the result of the Industry 4.0 Plan, because the collaboration stems from a project funded by Emilia-Romagna Region and by the National Plan Industry 4.0 by the Ministry of the Economic Development. A very positive and practical consequence will be the creation of about 20 new workplaces, of which at least 5 addressing graduates.
