According to GfK Temax, the Spanish TCG market presents a growth in billing of 3% in the last quarter of 2018 compared to the same period of the previous year. Turnover in TGC market was €4.39 billion. Major Domestic Appliances, Small Domestic Appliances and Telecommunications were the main growth driver.

Major Domestic Appliances
In the fourth quarter of 2018, all products of the MDA category achieved an important growth.
Small Domestic Appliances
Strong growth was registered in vacuum cleaners, the most important category in terms of income, due to the big promotion in Christmas period. Besides, the hair stylers got a moderate sales increase.
Consumer Electronics
PTV sales rose this quarter thanks to the big promotions in November and December.
Audio Home System closed the quarter with a huge growth due to the “connected-audio” technology and the development of voice assistant devices.
Photography
CSC technology went up again this quarter, becoming one of the most important segment for this area.
Information Technology
There were positive trends in mobile computing due to the increase of price associated to the gaming segment. Besides, good results have been achieved in monitors.
Telecommunication
Core wearables reached strong results in this quarter with a double-digit growth. Besides, Sim free smartphones continued with a slightly increase in terms of billing.

In the fourth quarter of 2018, the hot beverage machines turnover decreased slightly and the irons slowed down their growth.
Consumer Electronics
Flat growth was registered in mini-speakers after several months of rises in terms of income.
Besides, there were poor results in radio devices.
Photography
Considerable decrease was reached in Reflex income, due to the decline of price. There was also a fall in interchangeable lenses sales.
Information Technology
Mediatablet trends declined in terms of income and poor results were registered in Desktop computers.
Telecommunications
Mobile income declined due to the regression of the average price.
Office Equipment and Consumables
The drop in sales of consumables and printing devices generated a contraction of the whole category.
