As reported by WSTS (World Semiconductor Trade Statistics), while the worldwide semiconductor market was up 13.7% in 2018 to 468.8 billion dollar, the year 2019 is forecasted to be down 13.3% to 406.6 billion dollar. All geographical regions are expected to decrease. However, for 2020 all regions are forecasted to grow with the overall market up 4.8 percent. Optoelectronics is expected to grow by 8.2 percent, all other products are forecasted to grow low-to-mid single digit compared to 2019.
