The smart home market in Europe

According to the data of the Internet of Things Observatory (Polytechnic of Milan), among the main European countries, Germany and the UK achieved the best results in the smart home market in 2020, despite the pandemic. Germany totaled 2.9 billion euros (+16% compared to 2019), while the United Kingdom reached 2.8 billion euros (+10%). The French market, on the other hand, stood at 1.13 billion euros, up 3% compared to 2019, while Spain totaled 420 million euros, remaining stable compared to 2019. As regards Italy, the market recorded only a slight decrease (-5%) reaching 505 million euros.
