GfK: +28.5% for the Italian TCG market

The data released by GfK show that the first quarter of 2021 was decidedly positive for the Italian technical consumer goods market: +28.5% compared to the same period of 2020. Also the comparison between January and February 2021 with the same months in 2020 is positive, with growth of +17% and +19% respectively in value. Considering the different product categories, in the first quarter of 2021 sales of Small Domestic Appliances (+35%) and Major Domestic Appliances (+29.5%) continue to grow compared to the first quarter of 2020, confirming the trend of consumers to renew or expand its technological equipment to better enjoy the home environment, especially as regards the preparation of food, cleaning and personal care. Home Comfort is also growing, totaling an increase of 10.6%.
