Fifth APPLiA’s Statistical Report focuses on the 3 pillars of the sector

APPLiA published its fifth Statistical Report, collecting the most significant trends by the home appliance sector in 2019-2020. “Europe and the world have been going through an unprecedented period brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, impacting on our lives at every level – commented Peter Götz, APPLiA’s President and BSH Executive Vice-President -. Priorities had to be reshuffled to ensure that the safety and well-being of our workers and their families came first. Nevertheless, our sector has worked tirelessly to make sure our commitment to a better and greener Europe was not put aside. This report sums up the outcome of our efforts as an industry and is another step in the right direction”. Divided in three pillars, representing the dearest topics to the home appliance sector, the report keeps track of the accomplishments by the industry. “By continuously adding new pieces, the puzzle takes shape – said Paolo Falcioni, Director General of APPLiA, while praising the results of APPLiA members -. The shape is that of a sector that contributes to a more sustainable and competitive European Union”.

The Pillar 3 (accelerating Europe’s growth) dives into a sector that manufactures in Europe for Europe, mostly. The industry is a source of job opportunities, economic growth and consumers’ satisfaction in Europe.
