Dyson has created an accessory kit, compatible with the company’s range of cordless vacuum cleaners, for cleaning delicate surfaces and hard-to-reach spots in the home or car. The kit includes the scratch-proof brush, which features 8,100 ultra-fine polymer filaments made from polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), a material inspired by paint and makeup brushes. The bristles are tapered to just 0.05 mm to avoid scratching the delicate surfaces. The brush has a rotating component that removes dust and debris from the bristles hygienically and easily. In addition, the nozzle for narrow spaces is able to twist 22°, an ideal angle for cleaning hard-to-reach spaces in the home or car. With a width of just 12.5 mm and a 254 mm radius of action, it is designed to reach and clean tight spaces, and also features a secondary brush to be applied to the top of the nozzle, for stubborn dirt. Finally, the kit includes an extension hose.
