Samsung Electronics is taking part in MCE Live + Digital. Among the webinars proposed during the event, Marco Albieri, Pre-Sales Heating Manager at Samsung Electronics, presented the conference “The future of connectivity starts from the air conditioning”: in today’s perspective, oriented towards increasingly efficient, smart and connected buildings, Samsung provides integrated solutions in both residential and commercial areas. The company offers its SmartThings platform for the smart home, an open app that can manage all connected devices, including air conditioners and heat pumps, in a simple and intuitive way. Albieri cited in particular the WindFree air conditioners, which allow the air to be diffused in a gentle way without direct air jets thanks to the micro-holes. Furthermore, with SmartThings it is possible to keep the energy consumption of the appliances under control. SmartThings is an open and implementable platform that also allows user to create automations and scenarios for a real smart home. Samsung b.IoT Lite, on the other hand, is the solution for buildings in the tertiary sector that optimizes the operation of the VRF systems, ensuring comfortable climate and energy savings, thanks to the use of the Artificial Intelligence. “Despite the difficult year for the market, in 2020 Samsung continued to grow, in some sectors even at double digits – said Ettore Jovane, Head of Air Conditioning Business Samsung Italy -. The Superbonus 110% and the media attention paid to the energy saving in the buildings have brought new attention to all the incentives already in force, and this makes us look forward to the next few years with confidence. In this historical moment we are therefore particularly proud to be partners of a reality like MCE which, with the Live + Digital 2021 event, wants to give a positive signal to all operators in the sector, stimulating comparison and networking, very important elements in our sector that must now necessarily be reinvented in digital form”.
