UL enterprise revealed new brands for its three organizations: UL Research Institutes, UL Standards & Engagement and UL Solutions. The UL Research Institutes brand signals its focus on rigorous independent research into ongoing and emerging human safety risks. As threats evolve and their consequences become more severe, UL pursues scientific discovery to advance public safety – marshaling resources to scan for and assess human safety risks across a broad range of critical fields – from fire safety and electrochemical safety to human environmental exposure and artificial intelligence. The UL Standards & Engagement brand exemplifies its longstanding role as a critical facilitator of standards-related public-private partnerships around the world. UL Standards & Engagement translates data and safety science research into actionable, rigorous safety standards and drives safety advocacy campaigns focused on improving public safety. The commercial business UL Inc. is now UL Solutions. The UL Solutions brand represents its commitment to partnering with customers and stakeholders around the world to help solve safety, security and sustainability challenges. UL Solutions delivers testing, inspection and certification services, together with software products and advisory offerings. “The ways in which our three organizations engage with our customers today will remain largely unchanged – Jenny Scanlon (President and CEO, UL Solutions) and Terry Brady (President and CEO, UL Research Institutes and Chairman, UL Standards & Engagement) say –. Whether conducting foundational research at UL Research Institutes or applied research with commercial applications at UL Solutions, our researchers, scientists and engineers remain dedicated to advancing safety science. Our UL Standards & Engagement and UL Solutions public policy teams remain focused on objectively informing policy and facilitating public-private partnerships in support of public safety and innovation. Likewise, the existing UL Certification Marks, which signal high-quality performance and independent third-party safety, security and sustainability certification, will remain unchanged”.
