Intelligent flame control and on-demand gas generation for a safer, more stable and efficient brazing process in the HVAC-R industry
Since 1981, Oxyweld has focused on the development and manufacture of oxy-hydrogen gas generators for brazing applications in the HVAC-R industry. The company’s technology produces hydrogen and oxygen directly from distilled water, supplying a clean, high-purity gas at the point of use. By generating the gas on demand -without storage- and at low operating pressure, manufacturers can eliminate the logistical challenges and safety concerns associated with storing and handling conventional gas cylinders while ensuring a continuous and reliable gas supply.
Consistent brazing through intelligent control
Oxyweld has recently introduced the new Oweld 3-in-1 brazing station, a smart system created after an extensive research and development program. The new device combines three electronically controlled functions: automatic flame management, electronic flashback protection, and electronic pressure regulation– into a single compact solution engineered to improve process consistency, operator safety and production efficiency.
Each Oweld oxy-hydrogen gas generator, together with its 3-in-1 brazing station, is designed to reduce process variability. Every flame ignition automatically produces an optimised stoichiometric flame, ensuring consistent heat input throughout the production cycle, independently of the operator’s level of experience. In the HVAC-R industry, this enables the standardisation of a productive brazing process, stronger joints and a consequent reduction in refrigerant-gas leaks at the end of the production line or mainly during the after-sales period for OEMs.
