Zoppas Industries announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Bluewind, an engineering centre of excellence specialised in control electronics design, embedded software, sensing, and connectivity. The company with headquarters in Veneto highlights how this is a decisive step forward in the evolution of Zoppas Industries.

Bluewind provides innovative product design solutions in the fields of Electronics, Energy Efficiency, and Connected Devices. The R&D task force consists of 20+ experienced engineers, providing full product design and covering the complete design cycle: product strategy, hardware and software design, testing, CE compliance, and production.
Founded in 1998, the company serves primary industries located throughout Europe and the USA, offering wide experience in the Automotive, Industrial and Medical industries.

Two complementary worlds

The acquisition of a majority stake in Bluewind brings together two distinct yet complementary worlds. On one side Zoppas Industries’ know-how in heating technologies; on the other, Bluewind’s ingenuity and over two decades of expertise in digitalisation and connectivity.

Through this agreement, Zoppas Industries Group can transform traditional thermal systems into high-value technological solutions: intelligent heating systems capable of self-diagnosis, real-time performance monitoring, and energy efficiency optimisation. This evolution will further expand opportunities in demanding tech sectors.

At the same time, Bluewind can also seize growth opportunities. The company will continue to operate as a specialised centre of competence, whilst leveraging the commercial network and global reach of an industrial leader such as Zoppas Industries to bring its expertise to major international markets. Zoppas Industries has a global presence boasting over 8000 employees and 15 production sites across Europe, America, and Asia.

Even smarter products

A new chapter therefore begins for Zoppas Industries, which continues its path of growth with innovation at its core. Gianfranco Zoppas, President of Zoppas Industries, highlighted how integrating embedded software and connectivity will immediately accelerate the development of even more comprehensive, reliable, and intelligent products, delivering real value to clients right from the initial design phase.

Sharing this sentiment, Nicola Bergamin and Stefano Costa, partners at Bluewind, view Zoppas Industries as the ideal industrial partner to help the company make a major step forward—expanding business horizons while safeguarding the talent, expertise, and innovative spirit built over more than 25 years.
