The stability of German white goods


The German trade association ZVEI informed that the first 2013 semester ended with the 2% growth for big white goods and by 3% for small ones. The constant price rise of electrical energy leads German consumers to search constantly for lower energy consumption appliances, especially in the case of freezers and dryers. Besides, we can notice a strong orientation towards silent machines, especially in the washing segment.

Among small appliances, the most relevant growths were scored by coffee machines, kitchen robots and vacuum cleaners.

Zvei believes that the growths attained can go on also in the rest of the current year, which should end with 2% increases for big appliances, 3% and perhaps 4% rises for small ones.
