Last 5th June it was held, by the Ministry of the Italian Economic Development, the meeting of the Permanent Table of domestic and professional appliances, at the presence of the Minister Federica Guidi, of the Vice-Minister Claudio De Vincenti, of representatives of all concerned Regions and of the State Regions Conference. During the meeting, Confindustria and Ceced Italia presented the “Horizon Project”, which indicates the strategies to be undertaken for the revival of the sector of domestic and professional appliances. The Government and the Regions shared the setting of the study illustrated by the President of Ceced Italia, Franco Secchi, who illustrated in-depth the need of adopting measures concerning the environmental and energy policy, speeches for the technological innovation and the international promotion of the home system. Besides, just on these themes, in the course of next weeks different working teams will be summoned by the Ministry with the target of sharing intervention lines. The same Ministry intends to introduce the technological matters identified by the Horizon Project among the intervention priorities of the fund promoted by the Government with Bei for financing big technological innovation projects. The Ministry Guidi, finally, appreciated the working method proposed by Confindustria and Ceced Italia, showing the interest in replicating that initiative for other sectors deemed strategic for the development of the Italian manufacturing industry. “The revival of industry and of the Made in Italy – states Franco Secchi – takes place also through the recovery of the domestic and professional appliance sector that, in the last 50 years, has represented a symbol of the excellence of this Country, in Italy and in the world. We thank the Minister for the interest shown and we are certain that – thanks to the goodwill lavished by all players – we will proceed in the direction longed for.”
