From 20th to 29th March, Ecolight will be at the Spring fair in Genoa to present “Make Space”, a service dedicated to businesses to meet their needs of waste management. The legislation on WEEE, complex and evolving, requires time and specific skills to be understood and applied. In addition, we have to consider the bureaucratic and administrative actions. Ecolight – one of the main Italian consortia for the management of electronic waste, batteries and accumulators – has created “Make Space” as a solution to the problems arising from the management of professional waste. “The law is clear: a company is responsible for the waste it produces – explains Giancarlo Dezio, general manager of Ecolight -. The company is responsible for the waste management and for the treatment and disposal of waste. It is also responsible for the choice of the partner to which it entrusts all this. Too often, however, the professional waste, or those produced by the economic activities, follow incorrect paths endangering both the environment and the same company”. The Make Space service ensures a correct management of professional waste and the traceability. “We are able to indicate where waste were brought and what has been done: how much waste have been sent to disposal and how much waste have been subjected to treatment for the recycle. Besides, we ensure all the necessary procedures to properly fulfill the fiscal requirements”, concludes Dezio. The “Make Space” tour of Ecolight will arrive in the coming months also in Trentino, Lombardy and Emilia Romagna.
