BSH has published its annual report containing the key financials for the 2014 fiscal year. In particular, the Group’s strong growth in Asia, North America and Europe resulted in revenue of €11.4 billion and an increase in the EBIT margin to 6.2 percent. The company aims to continue on its path of profitable growth in 2015. “BSH – the company said in a official note – has got off to a good start in the current fiscal year and, following the first quarter, assumes that it will increase its revenue and profit again in 2015”. BSH generated revenue of €11.4 billion in the past year, an increase of 8.4 percent. After currency adjustments, revenue was €11.7 billion (+11.1 percent over the previous year). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were €705 million. Compared with the previous year’s figure, which was reduced by non-recurring effects, the EBIT margin thus improved by more than one percentage point to 6.2 percent. For the current year, BSH expects continuing growth in the global market for domestic appliances slightly above the level of the previous year. On the back of a strategy of even stronger regionalization, the company anticipates that revenue and EBIT will increase further in the current fiscal year.
