RS Components, the trading brand of Electrocomponents, has appointed Mikael Malm as Chief Supply Chain Officer. Based in Hong Kong, “he is responsible for the ongoing development of the supply chain – explains the company – ensuring RS continues to leverage its global scale in a safe and sustainable way to provide customers with an industry-leading service”. He reports to the Group’s CEO, Lindsley Ruth. “As a global distributor – commented Mikael Malm – the supply chain plays a leading role in how we deliver a world-class experience and service for customers. It is essential to continuously evolve and improve this key aspect of the business, and I am excited about the opportunity to drive this forward”. Mikael Malm has over 25 years’ experience in global sales, manufacturing, supply chain and sourcing, incorporating general management, operations and strategic development across a range of multinational companies. He was Director Supply Chain Management at Huawei and Head of Sourcing and Supply at Ericsson Saudi Arabia.
