United States in the lead in research and development

Most part of that figure went to United States companies, with a global spending of 19.6 billions, corresponding to 63.6%. A good 12.1 billions of this amount, that is to say 39.3%, come from Intel Group.

The remaining spending was borne by Asia-Pacific, South-Korean or Chinese companies, with 26.3%, Japanese with 5.5% or by European companies, with the modest 4.6%
