The Austrian Group AT&S, leader European manufacturer of printed circuits, has set up its new plant at Chongqing, in the middle of China. The plant, which involved an investment of 480 million Euros and will employ 1,700 workers, consists of two units, respectively intended for the production of interconnection substrates for the housings of printed circuits and for the manufacturing of circuits themselves.
AT&S, which is already present in China with a big factory in the outskirts of Shanghai for the production of integrated circuits, will then employ a good 5,900 workers in the Country. Since 2000 until now, the Austrian Group has invested in China the huge amount of 870 million Euros.
