As reported by Anfel (Spanish association of manufacturers and importers of household appliances), the Spanish market of white goods registered an increase in turnover of +2.97% in January-April 2016 compared to the same period of 2015. In units, the growth was equal to +1.82% (+36,780 units sold). Considering the trend of the different products in the first four months of 2016 compared to the same period in 2015, refrigerators saw a decrease of -2.32%: only the side-by-side models reached a significant growth (+32.79%), while 1-door refrigerators achieved an increase of +3.08% and the double-door appliances and the combined models registered negative percentages (respectively -7.61% and -2.92%). The washing machines segment saw a little increase (+0.52%), with front loading models that achieved +1.50% and top loading appliances that registered a negative percentage (-11.65%). Besides, dryers saw a little fall of -0.20% and dishwashers an increase of +6.78%. Cookers registered the strongest decrease among all white goods (-19.44%). However, in the cooking segment the other products reached positive percentages: ovens +6.09%, hobs +4.13% and hoods +3.79%.
