Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has released the new versions of the HP-S-X1 series of compact sensors for the touch scanning. Besides being equipped with a new bearing system for a better taper repeatability, now the series of HP-S-X1 sensors can be provided with longer horizontal styli for a better flexibility, without the need of changing the modules. HP-S-X1 sensors, which have small external sizes and support styli with 225 mm-length, allow coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to detect the in-depth characteristics of the piece. Magnetic interfaces allow automatic stylus changes and support all standard testing modalities, including the point-to-point touch measuring, the self-centring measuring and the high-speed continuous scanning, offering a fast and precise data acquisition for all profile types.
