The 800 Series by RPE was conceived more than 20 years ago to satisfy various requirements sharing a single common denominator: a compact sturdy direct-acting valve, therefore operating from 0 bars.
The hydraulic power of this product comes in fact from a tank positioned immediately upstream the valve itself, with a water column of few dozens of centimetres. The operation field includes therefore a range from 0 to 0.5 bars. Another essential requisite concerns the hydraulic control part of the valve: depending on the type of application and geographical area, the coil can be in fact powered by a battery or directly by the net.
Finally, since in some applications the fluid that crosses the valve can be not only water but instead a solution of water and detergents (or other “generic” chemical products), the valve components can withstand various chemical agents in more or less consistent concentrations.
The 800 Series is a fluid separation valve: it is provided with a diaphragm that separates the hydraulic circuit from the electric one. Consequently, the mobile steel core of the coil is not touched by the fluid that flows inside the valve, thus granting a much longer service life of the valve than conventional ones.
Typical applications of this valve are water dispensers, coffee machines and ice-makers.
