Ilve: past and future in the new Panoramagic line

Panoramagic is a new product line designed by Emo for Ilve. It is the result of a wide renovation project that the company began almost one year ago. The manufacturer revised its strategy to emphasize its heritage and reputation within the professional kitchen market. After reviewing the brand identity, it asked Emo to care about the products evolution. “With this project our team of designers established the new facing of products of the historic brand and defines the path for the future products development – said Ilve -. Reliability, magnificence, professionalism and advanced technology were the keywords for our design exploration. We enriched them by giving a glance to the past and taking cue from the architecture of a successful product by Ilve designed in the Seventies: the kitchen single-piece Panoramagic, of which the new product carries the name”. Panoramagic is a range of products that represents all the brand values. “To better adapt the facing of the product to the contemporary, classic and country versions – added the company – it was necessary to define a variable product architecture. So we approached the project not only defining the cover elements but by researching the characterization of the general architecture. Dressed in a way or another, it had to be recognizable and able to match with the different ‘outfits’ proposed by the brand. In order to make the brand even more noticeable we introduced some functional-aesthetic details that use the characteristic element of the brand logo. The hexagon is indeed inserted in the pan supports and in the knob as a detail. In addition Panoramagic innovative and technological appeal is expressed through the introduction of decorative and functional lighting elements. The Led lights on the knobs give a feedback about the cooking activity, whereas the light of the whole product can also be used as ambient light”.
