The story of Patelec comes from far away, but his “second life” begins ten years ago when Roberto Ziletti acquired it from then owner, the Saiag group. The tenth birthday of the company was the occasion for Patelec to celebrate on a holiday day, meant as an occasion to meet with customers and suppliers. In this occasion Roberto Ziletti explained why Patelec’s acquisition was an opportunity for growth: portfolio expansion, availability of overseas establishments, a talented group of people with whom to build a solid path and growth. Customers are another real key to success. Marco Marini, Patelec’s CEO, stressed the importance of these, and of the relationships built over time, in the growth of the company. Working with big companies, international players, has allowed for long-term planning and therefore constant growth. Growth was witnessed by numbers: in 2016, Patelec’s business had sigmoid numerals in the field of the appliance: for example, white has “weighed” for 22%, 14% cleaning, coffee machines for 6%. Another of the strengths has been highlighted by Katy Cancilleri, Patelec’s commercial director: this is the process verticalization and therefore the integrated production that allows to control all the path that starts from the copper and comes to the plug.
The soundness is highlighted by numbers as well: today Patelec is a solid industrial group with over 750 employees and composed by five companies, spread in Europe and in the Far East, in strategic zones to supply its reference markets. A massive presence that allows the Group to constitute a global partner, which exports its products in over 35 Countries and can meet the specific requirements of the different markets through a broad range of homologated solutions and products, thus granting the full quality control in each production phase.
Patelec’s headquarters are located in Italy, at Cerrina Monferrato, in Alessandria province; it is the company’s historical head office; the first unit has then been joined by a further manufacturing site, situated in Lombardy. The other three subsidiaries are headquartered in strategic regions for the industrial production: one is situated in Poland (at Legnica, a place close to the border with Germany) and two at Ningbo, in China.
The presence in key manufacturing areas and the wide range of achieved homologations allows Patelec to supply customers in diffused manner.
