The WEEE compliance promotion exercise, the most important European event on WEEE promoted by the European Commission, took place on 24 October in Brussels. During the meeting, representatives of the sector at Community level met on the WEEE sector in Europe and the challenges and good practices put in place by the Member States were presented.
Among the interventions, Fabrizio Longoni, General Director of the RAEE Coordination Center, presented the operation and activities of the Italian clearing house, illustrating the many strengths that distinguish the Italian model. “It is a satisfaction for Italy and for the staff of the WEEE Coordination Center to be considered the best European practice in WEEE management,” he commented at the margins of the event.
