Candy Watch&Touch, the smart oven developed to communicate with the users and manage every moment of food preparation with a simple touch, won the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018. Watch&Touch was chosen by a jury of about 40 members among over 6,300 products: it is a premium product with an iconic design launched by the Candy Group, able to represent the main values of the brand (Italian style and creativity combined with ease of use and connectivity). In addition to the appealing and linear design of the product, characterized by a 19 inches 100% full touch screen and by the absence of knobs, the oven is user-fiendly. It has an integrated camera combined with the patented U-see lighting, composed of lateral LED lights positioned in the oven screen door. Besides, cooking is easy thanks to video-recipes pre-loaded and shown on the oven door. The Suggested Cooking section instead contains more than 70 programs that suggest the best combination of options to cook the chosen dish. Furthermore, in the Personal Programs section it is possible to create a library containing personal and favourite cooking programs. Finally, it is possible to manage every function of the oven from a smartphone or tablet through the Candy Simply-Fi application. The award ceremony will take place on July 9th, 2018, on the occasion of the Red Dot Gala. Candy Watch&Touch, like the other award-winning products, will be included in the “Red Dot Design Yearbook 2018-2019” and exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.
